Registration

Asheville Jam supports our local dance community by making amazing events like these accessible to everyone! We offer sliding scale entry, so everyone can attend. We also offer scholarships, just contact us.

This event we offer registration both per-event (for those who can only attend one or two events), and for the whole weekend.
We recommend registering for the whole weekend.

Whole event*: $75-150

Per-event: $10-40 per block (~2 hours)

Dance Yer Nature (Silent Disco)*: $30

*Whole event registration does not include the Silent Disco. Dance Yer nature (Silent Disco) registration is separate, as there are a limited number of spots due to technology and space limitations. However, those not participating in the silent disco are welcome to join us in nature on that day for movement scores, picnicking and waterfalling.

Come move, groove, dance, prance, flow, and grow in downtown Asheville! We’ll be dancing on the green green grass in front of city hall! Don’t miss this opportunity!

Note: Only service animals are allowed at this outdoor event due to city ordinances.

We have reserved parking for the event.
While parking spots last, you’ll get a free AMC bumper sticker to put on your dashboard during the event to save yourself a walk.
These parking passes are on a first come, first serve basis. For those early ticket buyers who receive a sticker pass, your sticker can either be picked up at an AMC wave before the event, or arrange to be picked up the day of the event.

**This dance will be in place of the Asheville Movement Collective’s second wave, with the Masonic Temple as a bad weather backup. The Asheville Movement Collective envisions a world that moves in harmony where all are free to be their authentic selves within a loving community. Our mission and aim are to inspire authenticity and healthy community through free-form dance by hosting dance waves for personal and community transformation.

The Asheville Jam supports regular Contact Improvisation events including Contact Improv Jams, Labs, Underscores, workshops and classes in Asheville, North Carolina. Asheville Jam strives to make all contact improv events inclusive to all, regardless of gender, race, orientation, physical ability, skills, etc.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

This all levels workshop has something for everyone. It will introduce elements of musicality and form but focus on fundamentals of connection. Demonstrative activities, drills and games will develop and deepen our understanding of frame and movement dynamics, as well as body awareness, nuances of lead-follow dynamics, and the improvisational mind.

You do not need a partner, and we will practice dancing with a variety of people accutane price. We will practice both lead and follow roles regardless of gender.
